BIO

Thomas C. Wolski is a patent attorney whose practice bridges science, technology, and business strategy. Drawing on a background in molecular biology and biochemistry, Tom helps clients in the material science, biotechnology, and chemical industries protect innovation and build sustainable intellectual-property portfolios.

His work spans the full lifecycle of intellectual property—from patent prosecution and portfolio management to licensing, technology transfer, and dispute resolution. Tom advises clients on global patent strategy and trade-secret management, frequently reviewing and drafting complex technology agreements to reduce risk and support commercialization goals. He regularly counsels companies on the development and transfer of emerging technologies, and he has negotiated numerous license and IP-transfer agreements.

In addition to his prosecution and transactional work, Tom advises on litigation matters and has represented clients in defending and prosecuting intellectual property infringement disputes including patents, copyrights, trademark, trade secrets and breach of NDAs. His combination of scientific insight and legal experience enables him to translate sophisticated technical concepts into clear, enforceable rights.

Before entering law, Tom managed a research laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh, studying premature birth and cardiovascular disease. That experience continues to inform his practical, research-driven approach to intellectual-property law.
