Tom Getty is an intellectual property attorney with a background in mechanical engineering. His practice includes patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and contract matters, including securing IP protection, litigating IP disputes, and counseling on IP strategy, infringement, invalidity, freedom to operate, and due diligence.

During his time in law school, Tom was a senior editor of the Journal of Law and Innovation, and he was a member of the Detkin Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Clinic. Tom is currently a member of the American Intellectual Property Law association (AIPLA) and the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association (PIPLA).
