BIO

Ryan S. Fisher focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the medical device, chemical, mechanical, materials science, consumer goods, and life science fields. He advises on the various stages of product development, patent procurement, and portfolio management, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications, providing invalidity and non-infringement opinions, and conducting due diligence and freedom to operate analyses.

As part of the Webb team, Ryan provides patent prosecution support and portfolio management for one of the world’s largest global medical device and technology companies. He also routinely conducts extensive patent searches for a range of clients, including patentability, freedom to operate, validity/invalidity, and state of the art searches. In addition to patent practice, Ryan advises on trademark registration, enforcement, and portfolio strategy, including clearance searches and brand protection initiatives.

Prior to joining private practice, Ryan gained experience in chemical manufacturing while working for a pilot/scale-up manufacturing company. He also served six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Outside of work, Ryan volunteers with a parish service organization that provides annual funding to the school of the parish. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family, golfing, exercising, and gardening.
