PITTSBURGH, PA — Maximilian (Max) D. Meese joins The Webb Law Firm as an Intellectual Property Attorney. He is also a registered Patent Agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Max’s professional background and expertise is focused on industrial and information systems. At the Webb Law Firm, Max is a member of the trademark and litigation practice groups, and regularly assists with patent prosecution. Prior to joining the Firm, Max worked in the fields of computer software and product development.
Max earned a J.D. from the William & Mary Law School, where he pursued advocacy by successfully competing in a number of national trial competitions. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems & Information Engineering from the University of Virginia, where he focused on human perception and mixed/virtual reality therapy for amputees.
Mr. Meese is active in various legal professional organizations, including the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association and The Order of the Coif. His professional accomplishments include publishing A Pasture Theory of Creative Controls: A New Approach to Copyright and Patent Subject Matter Overgrowth, 56 Wm. & Mary L. Rev. 1987 (2015).
