Nadia A. Mahmood brings deep technical and strategic expertise in patent searching, with a particular focus on medical devices. Before joining Webb, she served for 15 years at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a Primary Patent Examiner. She also holds a USPTO certificate recognizing legal competency and negotiation authority.

With a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nadia has built a distinguished career at the intersection of biotechnology, medical devices, and patent practice. Over the past decade, she has worked across a broad range of technologies and methodologies, including cochlear implants, neurostimulators, defibrillators, MRI and CT diagnostic systems, and, most recently, AI-assisted surgical procedures.

During her tenure as a Primary Patent Examiner, Nadia was widely recognized for her subject-matter expertise and analytical rigor. She also played a key leadership role in mentoring junior examiners, guiding them in effective prior art searching and the application of 35 U.S.C. standards and patentability analyses.
