John is an intellectual property attorney who focuses his practice on patent procurement. Throughout his career, John has prepared and prosecuted a significant number of patent applications (including continuation, divisional, and CIP applications) in the mechanical, electrical, and biomedical arts, securing quality patent protection in the vast majority of these cases. In addition to assisting clients with securing patent protection in the U.S., John regularly works with counsel around the world to secure clients’ patent protection globally.
Prior to joining The Webb Law Firm, John worked for six years at a large national law firm, assisting clients in securing patent protection in a number of technologies, including electrical switching apparatuses, electrical receptacles, machine tooling, pet toys, pharmaceutical packaging, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices and associated equipment, and therapeutic ultrasound technology.
