Domenick (Tony) Prosdocimo, Ph.D. concentrates his work on patent preparation and prosecution of both U.S. and international applications, due diligence, freedom to operate, and patentability analysis in the life sciences (biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and biologics) and medical device fields.
Dr. Prosdocimo holds a Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). His biomedical training provided both breadth and depth in the areas of cardiovascular health and disease, cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, circadian biology, and biomedical engineering, resulting in more than 30 peer-reviewed publications in top-tiered journals, extramural funding from the National Institute of Health, invited plenary lectures at national conferences, and numerous honors and awards. His pre-doctoral work focused on the signaling networks associated with cardiovascular disease in the context of vascular calcification. As a post-doctoral fellow, Dr. Prosdocimo trained with Mukesh K. Jain, M.D., a member of the National Academy of Medicine, where his research focused on the molecular underpinnings of cardiac metabolism in both health and disease.
Prior to joining The Webb Law Firm, Dr. Prosdocimo was a faculty member at CWRU Department of Medicine, where his team concentrated their research on the molecular circuitry underlying skeletal muscle physiology and metabolism, and how these programs are usurped during pathological states, such as diet-induced obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes.
