Patrick A. Bianconi excels at patent and trademark prosecution for clients across a wide range of industries. Pat handles patent matters from filing through allowance, including patentability searching, drafting, and prosecuting applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Pat manages trademark matters through registration, including clearance searches, filing, and prosecuting applications, as well as advising on post-registration maintenance and enforcement strategies.
Pat’s patent practice involves preparing and prosecuting applications in technical areas such as consumer products, biotechnology, and mechanical devices. Pat regularly advances patent applications through the examination process and provides guidance on strategies for protecting clients’ inventions. Pat’s trademark practice includes counseling on brand protection, guiding applications through examination, and advising on enforcement strategies. Pat also manages domestic and international trademark portfolios and provides strategies for trademark protection and enforcement in different countries.
Pat is a member of the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association. While in law school, Pat was inducted into the Order of Barristers and received CALI® Excellence for the Future Awards in Intellectual Property Law and Biotechnology Law.
