BIO

Daniel J Murray focuses his practice on all areas of patent and trademark law. Dan both secures intellectual property rights and enforces them in litigation and other disputes. Dan provides sophisticated intellectual property counseling to all clients, whether those are individuals or multinational corporations.

Dan has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting provisional, design, and utility patent applications for domestic and foreign clients. Dan specializes in the mechanical field, conducting searches and preparing opinions on patentability, patent landscapes, and freedom-to-operate. Dan has considerable experience in patent and trademark litigation, representing plaintiffs and defendants in federal district courts across the country. Dan has also represented clients before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and the International Trade Commission. This and other experience allow Dan to advise clients at the highest and lowest levels of their intellectual property strategy.

Dan is involved in the local legal community through the Allegheny County Bar Association and Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association. Dan also involves himself in the greater Pittsburgh community through his support of the arts, and just like everybody else, his support of the Steelers and Penguins.
