Alexander D. Winter leverages his significant engineering background to help clients obtain patents on cutting-edge technologies. He focuses his practice on the electrical, information technology, and mechanical arts.
Much of Alex’s work has been focused on patent prosecution for inventions related to electrical power distribution, renewable energy, semiconductors, manufacturing systems, medical devices, kitchen appliances, printing devices, and microscopy. He enjoys the analytical aspects of patent prosecution and helping clients protect their intellectual property.
Prior to becoming a patent agent, Alex worked as an engineer in several industries. He was responsible for a variety of product development activities for products such as uninterruptible power supplies, Li-ion battery systems, solar inverters, and automated inspection systems. Additionally, he has extensive experience with product qualification testing, measurement and instrumentation, software development, and simulation of electrical systems.
