Adam J. Komorowski is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with nearly two decades of experience advising clients on the full spectrum of patent, trademark, and copyright matters, with an emphasis on the development and management of global patent portfolios and freedom-to-operate investigations. Drawing on his background in mechanical engineering, Adam brings a practical, technical perspective to his work protecting and advancing clients’ innovations. At Webb, Adam has represented companies ranging from startups to global corporations across a wide range of industries, with particular focus on medical devices, heavy equipment, and consumer products.
Adam’s practice includes counseling clients throughout the full product lifecycle to provide solutions for protecting their innovations and mitigating risk. His approach emphasizes clear communication, business-focused solutions, and a deep understanding of how intellectual property supports long-term commercial goals. He has extensive experience collaborating with clients in developing and carrying out due diligence and freedom-to-operate investigations, including patent searching, patent analysis and risk assessment, and opinions relating to patent infringement and invalidity. Adam also counsels clients in the enforcement and defense of patent rights both in the United States and internationally to help navigate the strategic and procedural nuances of global patent protection. He also defends clients against infringement allegations, leveraging his experience to secure favorable resolutions and minimize the business disruption and expense of litigation.
Outside of his practice, Adam is actively involved in coaching and volunteering with local youth sports programs and participating in various professional organizations, including the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association and Allegheny County Bar Association..
