Lara A. Northrop is an Intellectual Property attorney with a strong background in physics and scientific experience in optics,
material science and condensed-matter research.
Ms. Northrop handles such matters as preparation and prosecution of
patent, trademark and copyright applications, preparation and evaluation of intellectual property license agreements, patentability opinions, patent infringement and validity studies, trademark clearance opinions, trade secret
and trade dress consultations, and general intellectual property counseling.
Before joining The Webb Law Firm in 2006, Ms. Northrop worked as a
patent attorney in private practice, and in the intellectual property legal division of Alcoa Inc. She has handled a broad range of technologies in the medical device, optics, data storage, material science, sporting goods, and
consumer products areas.

Ms. Northrop serves as an associate with The Webb Law Firm, which has concentrated exclusively in intellectual property law since 1845. On a daily
basis she works with various aspects of IP law, particularly patent, trademark and licensing matters.
