John W. Zerr is an Intellectual Property attorney who has worked actively in areas of mechanical engineering as well as in patent law.  Before joining The Webb Law Firm, where he is involved with patents, trademarks and copyrights on a daily basis, he served with a local law firm as a summer intern with responsibility for prosecution of patent applications related to computer technology, electrical, business methods and mechanical fields.  Earlier, as a patent intern with a large corporation specializing in the manufacture of tooling for the metalworking, coal and construction industries, he formulated and implemented patent prosecution strategies and worked with U.S. patent applications.  He was a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office where he examined patent applications in several mechanically related fields. He also was an engineering intern with Werner Company where he helped to analyze material investment and enhance productivity. Mr. Zerr received a J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.

Professional Responsibilities
Mr. Zerr serves as an associate with The Webb Law Firm, which has concentrated exclusively in intellectual property law since 1845.  Helping to protect new technologies and innovations, he applies his mechanical engineering skills and knowledge to patent, trademark and copyright work on a daily basis.
