Darrell E. Williams is an Intellectual Property attorney who worked in industry
for nearly 10 years, as an extrusion specialist/process engineer for DuPont de Nemours and as an engineer for Washington Penn Plastics Company, Inc., before obtaining his law degree.  In these engineering positions, he was responsible for the extrusion compounding facility, process safety, and area maintenance at the DuPont Polymers Division plant, and for the extrusion processes at Washington Penn Plastics.

Mr. Williams liked the engineering field because of “all the things I could design
to solve problems” but sought to combine his technical experience with a growing interest in law.  A man of strong religious belief, he attributes his becoming an IP attorney to his faith in “God’s direction.”

He began working with The Webb Law Firm in January 2001 on a limited basis and became a full-time associate in July 2001.  He holds a J.D. degree from the Duquesne University School of Law and a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Professional Responsibilities
Mr. Williams serves as an associate with The Webb Law Firm, which has concentrated exclusively in intellectual property law since 1845.  He works with various aspects of IP law, particularly mechanical and chemical patents.  In his daily routine and away from work, he has demonstrated a fondness for “tinkering with things,” a characteristic noteworthy of innovators and dedicated IPattorneys.
