James G. Porcelli is an Intellectual Property attorney with a strong background in technology and innovation.  Before joining The Webb Law Firm in 1997, Mr. Porcelli served as Senior Patent Counsel for Kennametal Inc., a Fortune 500 company, and as  a Patent Attorney for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation.  Prior to that, Mr. Porcelli worked for Sargent & Lundy, an architectural engineering firm, as a piping analyst engineer for power plants.  Mr. Porcelli holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and a J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Professional Responsibilities
Mr. Porcelli serves as shareholder and vice president with The Webb Law Firm,  which has concentrated exclusively in intellectual property law since 1845.  He also has expertise in design patents and has coordinated participation of The Webb Law Firm in major science shows and competitions, as well as annual presentations of The Webb Law Firm Award to students “who have demonstrated exceptional creativity in conceiving and reducing to practice an engineering or science project.”
