Donald
C. Lepiane is an Intellectual Property attorney with an extensive
background in engineering. Early in his career, he worked as an
engineer for Western Electric Company in the area of material
preparation for manufacture of discrete semiconductor devices and
later participated in the company’s Intellectual Property Training
Program. Following graduation from law school, he served as an IP
attorney for PPG Industries, Inc. and held the position of Patent
Counsel, Glass, with responsibility for domestic and foreign IP
matters of the glass business units. Mr. Lepiane has been granted
three United States patents and several non-U.S. patents. His U.S.
Patent 3,539,391 -- “Method of Coating Semiconductor Material with
a Conductive Metal” -- has been listed in The Chip Collection Index
to Reference Patents in the Smithsonian Institute.
Mr. Lepiane holds a J.D.
degree from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of
Law and a B.S. degree in metallurgical engineering from the
University of Pittsburgh. He also earned credit as part of a Master
of Physics program at Franklin and Marshall College.
Professional Responsibilities
Mr. Lepiane is Of Cousel to The Webb Law Firm, which has
concentrated exclusively in intellectual property law since 1845.
He works with various aspects of IP law.
